Riders in the Sky:

Sempre gostei de procurar versões alternativas de musicas que gosto. Cada intérprete pode dar uma nova roupa a uma mesma musica, mas se ela for boa, não há quem deixe seu poder se perder... o caso por exemplo dessa obra de Stan Jones!

"(Ghost) Riders in the Sky: A Cowboy Legend" é uma musica country escrita em 5 de junho de 1948 pelo compositor Stan Jones. Ela tem uma forte semelhança com a anti-guerra "Johnny I Hardly Knew Ye", musica irlandesa do século 19.
Baseada na lenda de um cowboy que cruza como um trovão caçado por cowboys malditos, tentando caçar o mal que corre pelos céu sem fim.

Esta musica também foi a inspiração para o grupo Doors compor seu famoso sucesso "Riders on the Storm". E como não poderia deixar de ser, foi a inspiração para a criação do famoso heroi da editora Marvel, o Motoqueiro Fantasma (alguma duvida?).
